Drop

Drop moves a file, a photo, or a bit of text from one of your devices to another without email, a messaging app, or a cloud service in the middle. Think of it as AirDrop for your household: everything hops between your devices through your own server and stays on your network.

Sending Something

Open Drop on the device you’re sending from and you’ll see your other signed-in devices listed. Pick the one you want, then either:

• Drag in a file (or browse for one), or
• Type some text to send a quick note or a link.

Hit send and it’s on its way. There’s no pairing dance and no codes to read out — your devices already know each other because they’re signed in to the same account.

Receiving Something

The moment a drop arrives, the receiving device pops a notification you can act on right away. Everything waiting for you also collects in your inbox on the Drop page, where you can download each item or dismiss what you don’t need.

Kept Private, Then Cleaned Up

Drops are meant to be quick and temporary. The files live on your own server just long enough for you to grab them, then MaiPai Home sweeps them away automatically — they’re single-use, single-recipient, and never copied to anyone else’s machine. Nothing you send passes through a third-party service or the public internet.

A Note on the Internet

Drop works over your home network through your own server, so it keeps working even when your internet is down. It’s currently for your own devices, in the browser, and drops expire after a while, so save anything you want to keep.
