Handy Tools

Alongside the big features there is a set of small, focused tools for everyday questions. You can open each one as its own page, and your companion can reach for most of them in conversation too, so you can just ask in plain language instead of hunting for the right page.

Dictionary

Look up any English word: its meaning, how it is pronounced (with an audio button), and its part of speech, with example sentences. It draws on an online dictionary, so it needs a connection.

Medical Reference

Search a condition, symptom, or medication and get a plain-language summary with a few key points and source links. If you have an offline medical library installed it answers from that, even without internet, and tells you it is using the offline copy. Otherwise it does a web lookup.

Recipes

Browse a random recipe or search by name. Each recipe shows a photo, the ingredients, the steps, and links to the original and a video tutorial. The Shuffle button keeps the ideas coming. It pulls from an online recipe database, so it needs a connection.

Where to Watch

Type in a movie or show and find out which streaming services have it, and whether it is included, for rent, or for buy. You can also browse what is popular right now or newly added. Unit Converter

Convert between units of length, weight, volume, temperature, and speed. Pick a category, type a number, and the answer updates as you go, with a swap button to flip the two sides. This one runs entirely on your device, no connection needed.

Moon Phase

See tonight’s moon: the phase, how illuminated it is, and the dates of the upcoming new and full moons. You can also dial up any past or future date. It is all calculated locally, so it works completely offline.

Holidays

A calendar of upcoming holidays and observances, so you always know what’s coming up. It draws on an online holiday database, so it needs a connection.

Local Events

A feed of what’s happening near you, pulled from local news coverage of your area. Set your location once in Settings and it stays current; without a location set, it prompts you to add one. It needs a connection to fetch anything new.

I’m Bored

Out of ideas? This shuffles up a mix of suggestions: things to do, a random recipe, a joke, articles from your offline libraries, and creative tasks like making an image. Hit “Surprise me” for a fresh set. It mixes offline ideas with a few online extras and gracefully drops the online ones if you are not connected.
